Visual Travel: Garden of the Gods

As you may have seen on my Instagram a few weeks ago, out of town friends and I made our way to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs! Unlike my typical travel diaries, I wanted to keep this post grammatically brief and let the photos speak for themselves. This was my first time experiencing the free of charge, nationally ranked park and I am here to tell you...if you are in the area, make the time to go. The pictures here do not do the beauty justice. It's calm (even in the midst of large groups during tourist season), serene and unlike anything else! The gorgeously towering rock formations are brilliant against a bright blue sky. There is plenty of opportunity climb, explore and even get away from the crowds. 

I hope you enjoy this scenic tour of the park! If you've been to GOTG, what are your favorite formations? I need to make another trip to complete the trails but it is certainly worth the 1.5 hour, scenic drive from the Denver city center!
