Checked and Fierce

I’m not sure if it’s the changing month (and changing season), or that I’m finally settling into my promotional responsibilities at work, but my confidence and self-positive attitude have been on another level this week! Despite the chilly weather and a puppy that is very trying, I wake up every morning with a grateful heart and a burning fire under my feet.

As I was picking out my attire for a busy day of client meetings yesterday (Nov 1st), I noticed that all of the pieces were there to make a statement. A boldly printed blazer, eye-catching, wide-legged trousers and my tried and true work bag, I could tell that my confidence was shining right through!

A couple of weeks ago, I was headed to San Francisco for a conference and was in search of a new fall blazer. I was so tired of black and navy, and was seeking something still professional in the pharmaceutical world, but not so straight-laced and stuffy. H&M to the rescue! Heavy enough to keep me warm in a cold exhibition hall, yet light enough not to scortch during the afternoon warm-up. Polished, professional and perfect for the transition into fall/winter.  Find it here

My favorite, ride or die statement professional garment currently belongs to THIS pair of wide-legged trousers! There is an entire blog post dedicated to my love of wide-legged pants, and these are the reason I fell in love in the first place! I picked these up latter year from Express, but still find them in the store today! Dress them up with heels so they do not drag the floor, or go for a slightly more casual look when worn with flats and a bodysuit! Looks like Wall Street, but feels like pajamas. I’ll take ten, please!

This combo will be on repeat for quick client lunches/dinners and happy hours with the husband’s co-workers. So easy, inexpensive, and effortless. My kind of business professional attire!
