No Makeup Monday

Happy (Cyber) Monday, Loud Livers! If you are new here, welcome to the first (and only) tradition here on Lady Out Loud...No Makeup Monday! The title is self explanatory, but the purpose of this series is to go below the surface of makeup and let your true self rule the world, if only for one day!

The Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone, and that means that all things Christmas are full steam ahead! Decorations that have been stored for months are making their way from basements and attics, and our pocket books are beginning to realize they had it easy all year along.

This week, I wanted to take a moment to remind myself that we do not have to buy it all to have it all. Happiness will not be found at the bottom of our Amazon or Boohoo shopping carts. The adrenaline we feel when shopping online or in store is only fleeting and we will be back for more when the rush wears away. So I'm taking time this week to evaluate what this year's Christmas will mean to me. It's all about establishing new traditions, making my house a home, and staying close to the people that make me happy.

Stuff is good. People are greater. Love is greatest.
