Dust Buster

We all know what time of year it is here in the northern hemisphere...pumpkin fills our lives in an excessively nauseating fashion, the magnitude of blanket scarves grows to new proportions, facial moisturizers grow thicker and creamier, and we dig deep (but not too deep) into the back of the closet for our favorite outerwear. Did you know snow is already falling in Montana?! Denim, bomber, leather, cropped, puffer, rain...I love them all! But after I was gifted this beautiful, light creamy grey Michael Kors duster jacket, I didn't realize just what I was missing! 

In this light color and lack of structure, a piece like this in a wardrobe can be dressed up with heels and a midi bandage dress, or down with your favorite pair of high waisted jeans and a solid knit top. Wear it to work, to happy hour, or to the a late fall, outdoor wedding.

This duster is the definition of a light, comfy layer. Breezy, but heavy enough to add that extra layer of warmth when the sun sets. The large, flappy lapels add feminine details and the belt (which I removed for this shoot), is the perfect waist definer. Complete with pockets and this has become my go-to jacket for the 5 weeks of fall we have here in Colorado.
